If you are experiencing specific eye health issues or have a known eye condition, it is best to go to an ophthalmologist. Optometrists are trained to provide primary vision care and can also diagnose and treat some common eye conditions. **

In most cases, a student can be excused from school for an optometrist appointment. However, it is important to follow the school's policies and procedures for excused absences. This may involve providing a note from the optometrist or parent/guardian, and notifying the school in advance of the appointment. It is always best to communicate with the school and make arrangements for the missed class time. **
